Slavemaster serial killer back in court today

TOPEKA — The Kansas Supreme Court was scheduled today to consider the appeal of a man considered as the first Internet serial killer. The high court agreed to hold a hearing today on the appeal by John Robinson, who called himself the Slavemaster as he trolled for victims on the Internet. Robinson seeks to overturn his convictions for the killings of two young women. He was sentenced to death 10 years ago for the murders of Suzette Trouten, 27, Newport, Mich.; and Izabela Lewicka, 21, West Lafayette, Ind. The two women were found stuffed into barrels on his Linn County farm near Lacygne. He received a life sentence in for the murder of a third woman, whose body was never found. Since he was sentenced, he has been held at the El Dorado prison. He also received life in prison in Missouri after pleading guilty to five other murders.
