GARNETT — The driver in a semi-truck accident that closed U.S. 169 south of Garnett for several hours early Friday morning has been identified.  Hamza Gorod, 29, Kansas City, Mo., was taken to Anderson County Hospital in Garnett for examination and treatment, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.  Gorod was driving north on U.S. 169 near Welda when his truck went off the road.   He tried to maneuver the truck back onto the road but over-corrected and went back into the west ditch, rolled over and went into a pond, the highway patrol said.
