Entries sought for MLK essay contest
OTTAWA — Entries are being taken for the annual Martin K, Jr., essay contest. This year’s essay is “What Causes Poverty and How Would You Address it?” Applicants must be students enrolled in elementary and secondary schools in Franklin County. The essays should be 450 words or less. The deadline for entries is Friday, Dec.18. Judging will be according to age and grade categories. Awards and reading of essays will take place at the Martin Luther King, Jr., program Jan. 17.
